Tuukka Kaila
Tuukka Kaila, b. 1975, is a Helsinki based photographer. His works deal with mundane everyday occurrences, the lucid nature of time and the role and capacity of photography as its capturer and transformer. Trained as a photographer in Surrey (BA 1999) and Helsinki (MA 2009), Kaila’s work has been exhibited in the National Architecture Institute NAI in Rotterdam, Holland; Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki, Finland; Preus Museum of Photography in Norway; Finnish Museum of Photography, Helsinki, Finland and many other regional museums and galleries in London, Paris, Shanghai, Prague, Tallinn and Stockholm among others. Kaila was cofounder of the influential skateboard magazine Numero (1998–2005) and continues as an editor of London-based Kingpin magazine from 2004 until present. In Helsinki, Kaila is currently member of board in the cooperatively run Myymälä2 gallery.

Mari Laanemets
Born in 1975, art historian, curator and artist, based in Graz. Her recent projects include the exhibition and publication Environment, Projects, Concepts. Architects of the Tallinn School 1972–1985 at the Estonian Museum of Architecture (Tallinn, 2008, with Andres Kurg) and Provisorisches Yoga at Grazer Kunstverein (2009, with Søren Grammel). She wrote her Ph.D. at the Institute of Art History at the Humboldt University Berlin on artistic practice in Eastern Europe. She is the author of numerous essays on contemporary art, most recently on Mladen Stilinovic’ in his book On Money and Zeroes (Berlin and Graz, 2008). She is co-founder of Valie EXPORT Society in 1999 and she has been working with Killu Sukmit since 1997 on various video productions.
